A blog to support the EIS it10 Conference July 1st 2010
Despite not posting since July, this small site to support the 2010 EIS IT Conference has seen a large number of visitors. The number of site views now stands at 758. This will be the final post - thanks for visiting. You can visit me here.
Well, thanks for the continued interest in this post-presentation blog. Now at 333 site views.
As people are clearly still interested and looking, here are a couple of other ideas. These relate to internet searching:Turn any browser text into an hyperlink with Hyperwords. To be honest, not sure how installable this is on a school network but on a single PC it will install easily as an add-on for most browsers. It's exceedingly useful.
Finally, a 'safe' (safer?) search engine for young learners and worth exploring.
..271 site views of this small post-conference blog since July 1st!
So, as the site is clearly still being visited, I thought I'd create a simple MP3 file using Audacity and post this to the blog. That's how easy it is to create a podcast!
Thanks for some nice emails and good to see that as of Sunday evening there have been 156 views of this post-presentation blog as this little screenshot from the system admin page shows.
One question during the conference presentation was about how to find useful sites for education. I suggested following a few teachers who blog and write about ICT in education. Here’s a few as a starter – there are many more that a bit of Googling could reveal. Hope they prove useful.

This comment was forwarded to my email box but seems to have disappeared from the page itself. So, just in case an answer is still wanted, I think it might be a reference to Prezi mentioned by Carol in her excellent wiki-wars presentation. It's a great tool for non-linear presentations. Find it at http://prezi.com/

A lot that I could talk about but in one hour not sure how much of the Smörgåsbord I can manage to get through. Here’s part of the potential list
